On 1 June (this Wednesday) a new every-day-cruise to Prague Zoo will be launched. The boats will sail regularly from Nemocnice Na Františku to the zoo and back. The new transport line was innitiated by the Municipal Office of Prague 1 and prepared by the Prague Steamboat Company. Until now it has been in operation on weekends only.
1 June is the Children’s day and children up 12 years accompanied by an adult can go on the boat free of charge! The actual opening will take place at 10:00 on the Vltava steamboat.
The boats will sail from Nemocnice Na Františku to Prague Zoo every day at 9:00, 10:00, 11:00, 15:00, 17:00 nad back from the zoo at 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, 16:00 a 18:00. The price is 100 CZK full fare and 60 CZK child fare.
The Prague Steamboat Company was founded already in 1865 by a legendary Prague Mayor František Dittrich. The company is the only operator in Prague of regular boat lines. Apart from the possibility of sailing to the zoo from Nemocnice Na Františku there is another station you can use – the quay at Rašínovo nábřeží.
